By helping you get ideas down quickly, this feature enables you to explore various design directions and arrive at a solution faster. Visual Search lets you find and reuse designs by uploading an image, selecting an area on your canvas, or entering a text query. Enhanced productivity in Figma with AI: We are launching many features to make you more productive in Figma so you can spend more time on innovation and creativity. You can now create AI-enabled interactive prototypes, generate images, automatically rename layers with intuitive names, and translate/shorten/rewrite text. As Dylan shared here, Figma and Adobe have reached a joint decision to end our pending acquisition. I am proud of how the Figma team delivered for our community in the past 15 months. Our team built and shipped new products to make it easier to ideate, design and build software, including our first native AI features, Dev Mode, Variables, and Advanced Prototyping. We also opened new hubs in the UK and Asia, hosted an epic Config IRL in San Francisco, acquired AI startup Diagram, and added more than 500 new Figmates. Figma’s founding vision was to “eliminate the gap between imagination and reality.” The shift from a physical economy to a digital economy and huge advances in AI have combined to make this aspiration feel even more urgent and within reach. We want to make it easy for anyone to design and build digital products on a single multiplayer canvas—from start to finish, idea to production. I am excited for what the future holds. Figma’s best, most innovative days are still ahead!

Last week I shared that I will be leaving Meta after 8 years (https://bit.ly/3BGPA1a). I am excited to share that I have joined #Figma as VP of Engineering. I am passionate about building tools and products that make others more effective. Figma’s mission of “making design accessible to everyone” really resonated with me. I was deeply impressed with the smart, visionary and thoughtful leaders I met during the process. I am humbled to be part of Figma’s journey.

I am happy to share that my team - Video Infrastructure Engineering team won the prestigious 72nd Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy®! This was awarded for the work we did on "Development of Massive Processing Optimized Compression Technologies". We finally got the beautiful trophy last week. This is very special recognition for our team as we are a relatively new team in Video Industry. I am very proud of what the team has been able to accomplish in a short period of time and more excited about things in pipeline! I can see many more to come with the work we are doing.
