🧬 Today, on National DNA Day, we celebrate the milestones of the Human Genome Project's completion in 2003 and the revelation of DNA's double helix structure in 1953. These breakthroughs pave the way for the future of DNA research, powered by AI, ushering in a new era of advancements for biomedicine, personalized medicine and precision healthcare. DNA models like Google's Enformer and NVIDIA's GenSLMs are being developed to improve our understanding of genomic "grammar." These models, along with recent advancements in generative AI, enable DNA analysis to be done faster and more accurately than ever before. So today on National DNA Day, Quantiphi honors these scientific breakthroughs as we continue to drive innovation in healthcare and life sciences, one strand of DNA at a time. #NationalDNADay #Genomics #AI #HealthcareInnovation #PrecisionMedicine #Collaboration #Innovation #Quantiphi #SolvingWhatMatters

Now you can read the insightful interview I had with Jason Knight of OctoML on our Medium. If interested in LLMs, it's really a must-read. https://lnkd.in/gBxaY6bh Here's a teaser: "I find the analogy that I get the most leverage out of these days is thinking of these models as humans, not in the sense of AGI but in terms of how we evaluate other humans. When you are looking at someone across the interviewing table, and you’re interviewing them for a job position, do you just look at their IQ score and decide whether to hire them based on that? Of course not, right? We know that humans are complicated, multifaceted individuals. Their ability to impact and do a certain job depends on their skill sets, which are multifaceted. And the problem domain, which is multifaceted. Mapping those two together is an unsolved problem. But we humans have developed intuitions and skill sets and techniques to do that. For LLMs, that is still an evolving space."
