- [Instructor] The emitter is quite possibly the most important object in X-Particles. After all, it's responsible for generating the particles in the scene. So throughout this chapter we'll go through each tab to make sure we have the fundamentals down. So in this movie we're going to focus on the object tab. So I quickly created a system and, because of my preferences, an emitter is created by default. And so let's just look in the emitter tab that's already selected here. So you'll notice that we have the emitter shape that's set to a rectangle, which actually is a 100 by 100 square, and let's just play through the timeline so we can see what's going on. I'm going to zoom in on the particles and I'm going to come over here to the system objects and just turn the icon off, so we're just focusing on the emitter. So we can see the particles are being emitted in the positive Z plane, and we can of course change that to a different plane. And what's happening here is the emitter object…
