- [Instructor] Every once in a while you may run into a problem with Windows 11 that you're unable to fix. When that happens, your best option may be to reset Windows. Resetting Windows is essentially the same as reinstalling a clean copy of the operating system, and that can be useful if you're having difficulty fixing a problem, or if the machine has become compromised by malware. So let's take a look at how to reset a machine. Now, it's worth noting that before you reset a machine, you'll want to back up any applications or data that exist on that machine. So let's take a look at the reset process. I'm going to go ahead and click on the Start button. From there, I'll go to Settings. Next, I'm going to make sure that System is selected, and then I'll scroll down and click on Recovery. And then I'll locate the section called Reset This PC, and then I'll click Reset PC.
