- [Instructor] Most application vendors make it so that if their applications are having problems, you can automatically repair the application. So in this video, I'm going to show you how to do that. Before I do, though, I want to point out that, before you attempt to repair an application, it's a good idea to run a backup of your machine, because every vendor has their own way of doing things. And in most cases, you'll find that the repair option is safe. Every great once in a while, though, you might find that when you run a repair, it will reset the application to its default settings, meaning that you'll lose any custom settings that you've put in. Or in extreme cases, you might even lose data that's associated with that application. So I always recommend making a backup before you repair an application.
