Removing unwanted startup items

- [Instructor] Over time, you may sometimes notice that Windows become slower and slower. You might also notice that Windows becomes unstable. Oftentimes the reason why these problems happen is because of startup items. In other words, items that load automatically when the system boots and the startup items typically load behind the scenes. So you might not even realize that they're loading. Now it's normal for legitimate programs to load items as system startup. For example, an application might have an updater that runs automatically when you boot your system just to make sure that you have the latest version of the application. At the same time though, malware can also be loaded at system startup. So if you're having problems with your machine, it's worth checking the system startup just to see what's loading.
