The USD format, known as Universal Scene Description, is a new format that's intended to make data transfer a lot easier between 3D packages. Now, this format can get very rich and robust, and it can actually get a little bit complicated, but we're just going to keep it simple. We're going to keep it to one file and you... One more time. But we're going to keep it simple. We'll just use one file. Now one of the reasons you want to use USD... One more time. Now, one of the reasons you'll want to use USD format is because it supports more advanced materials. Now, most renderers have gone to what are called PBR materials. That means Physically-Based Rendering. Older formats such as FBX don't support these new material. It's not going to get a more advanced material, so that's one reason to use USD. Now, there are plenty of other reasons. We'll need to turn on the plugin. So go into Edit Plugins and just type in the letters USD and you should see plugins, USD importer is the one to turn…
