Now let's take a look at how to import assets into Unreal Engine. Unreal Engine supports a lot of different formats, and many times you'll create your assets in a separate application such as Blender, Maya, SketchUp, and so on. So if you want to import these, you will need to import it in a format that Unreal Engine supports. Now we're going to start off with FBX, which is a very common file format and most 3D applications support it. So before we actually import something, I'm going to show you the asset that we'll be importing. So I'm going to hop into Maya which is where I normally work. Now here we have basically a little Italian scooter. And so you can see it's got a main body and then a lot of different parts. It has about two dozen different parts. And so we're just going to import this FBX file into Unreal Engine. Now all I did in Maya was just select this object and do a file export. And I exported it as FBX.
