The sun and sky plugin is great for basic lighting, but if you want more control or you want more rich lighting, you may want to use an image-based lighting. And we can do that in Unreal Engine using the HDRI Backdrop. Now I've deleted all the lights out of this scene, so let's go ahead and turn it from lit to unlit, and we can see that we have our basic cabin that we were using. So I'm going to create what's called an HDRI Backdrop. Now before I do this, I want to make sure I have an HDRI Image that I want to use. Now I have a couple that I loaded up in Photoshop here. So as you can see, they're basically environments with a light source. They're also 32-bit files. So they're HDR files. And that means that they have a really wide dynamic range. Now you can find these files in a lot of different places. There's one called HDRI Haven or Poly Haven that has a lot of them that are free to use, and you can certainly find them on the Internet.
