- [Instructor] The obvious point to make about typesetting children's books is that the text should be larger.. Because children are learning to read, a typeface with simple, but distinct shapes is a good choice. In this example, I'm going to choose a humanist sans serif. This is a subcategory of typeface without the adornment of serifs, so simple in form, but with letter shapes that are not perfectly geometric, but rather informed by calligraphy and the human hands so they have more personality. The particular humanist sans serif if I'm going to use is Source Sans. I'll come to my paragraph styles that have already been applied. I'm now going to redefine them. So I'll edit the body style by right clicking on the style name and I'm going to increase my type size to 18 point, my leading to 24 point.
