- [Instructor] Much of the data you visualize in Tableau will have a time or date associated with it. For example, you might have a summary that tracks daily sales at your company's stores. In this movie, I will show you how to summarize data by creating line charts which are perfect for time series data. In a similar way, area fill charts show the share of multiple contributions in reference to another dimension such as time. I'll demonstrate how to create line and area fill charts using 0802 line chart. And that is a Tableau workbook you can find in the chapter eight file of your Exercise Files collection. I'm starting with a blank workbook, and I'll go over to the navigation pane. And I will add time sequence data in one area and sales in the other.
