Create a top filter
- [Instructor] One very common way to filter your data is to find either the top or bottom values. For example, you might want to find the five states that provided the most orders and also identify the five or 10 that provided the least. In this movie, I will show you how to create top and bottom filters using our dataset. My sample file is "06_06_TopFilter," and you can find it in the chapter six folder of your exercise files collection. In this workbook, I have sales listed by state, and I'm summarizing it using a tree map. So, you can see that I have California as the state that provided the most orders. I'm using the count of items from sheet one, which has an individual order on each line. Then next is Texas, Florida, and you can see the other states in the order. Let's say that, instead of seeing every state, which, as you can see, makes the graphic quite crowded and we can't see every state's name, I want to see…
