Create a condition filter
- [Instructor] When you analyze business data, you will often want to limit the range of values you look at. For example, you might only want to identify customers who have ordered more than $1,000 worth of products from you in the past month. If that's the case, you can create a condition filter to identify the customers who meet your criteria. In this movie, I will show you how to create this kind of filter. My sample file is 06 05 condition, and you can find it in the chapter 6 folder, of the exercise files collection. In this workbook, I have a text table that shows sales by region, and my goal would be to only display regions that have sales of less than $300,000. So I'll create a rule asking Tableau to display only those regions. To create the filter, I will go to the sales region pill, and that is on the rows shelf at the moment. So I'll click its down arrow, and then I will click the first item, which is filter.…
