- [Instructor] You can summarize numerical data in many different ways but one popular method is to determine how much values contribute to a column, row or entire table of data. In this movie, I will show you how to calculate the percentage contribution of individual values in a table. My sample file is 05_04_Contribution, and you can find it in the Chapter five folder of the exercise files collection. I have a single summary sheet and on it I have sales broken down by product category. Rather than numbers, let's say that I wanted to determine what percentage each of these categories contributes to the whole. To do that, I can go to the analysis menu, point to Percentage Of about a quarter of the way down and then let's say that I have my data laid out in a column. So I will select column from the flyout menu. And you see that fitness is just over 19%. Mineral water 54.6 and supplements 26.22. So that gives me the…
