Add reference lines and quartile indicators

- [Instructor] When you create a visualization, Tableau builds it from your data and the rules and conventions of the style you selected. You can add other elements such as reference lines, distributions, and boxes to compliment the built-in features of your viz. In this movie, I will show you how to include those additional elements in your Tableau workbook. My sample file is 10_05_ReferenceLine, and you can find it in the chapter 10 folder of your exercise files collection. In this workbook, I have a line chart that shows sales by month. And let's say that I want to add a reference line that indicates the average value, and it would be horizontal line drawn flat across the entire viz. To do that, I will right click any blank spot on the vertical axis and then at the bottom of the shortcut menu, I'll click add reference line.
