Setting SAP start transactions - SAP ERP Tutorial
From the course: SAP S/4HANA: Beyond the Basics
Setting SAP start transactions
- [Instructor] Now we're going to set an SAP start transaction. This is a great trick for business users that start most days in the system at the same transaction. This removes an extra step by opening the system in a transaction, instead of at the SAP Easy Access screen. Let's say that we create sales orders, almost every day, first thing. We do it via T code VA-01. We'll set this as our start transaction. To do this, we'll go to extras, set start transaction. We'll enter transaction code VA-01 and press continue. Now we'll log off. And we'll log back on. We're brought directly into the create sales document transaction. We can confirm this by looking at the system information area and it shows that yes, we're in VA-01. The less clicks and keystrokes, the better. SAP start transactions are great when you're always starting in the same transaction. They save your valuable time and let you get right to business.
