How Path can save you time
- [Narrator] Your role as a business developer is to move each of your opportunities through your sales process. The path feature under opportunities, this arrow graphic right here, path is here to help you quickly update critical information. There are two ways that you can use path to save you time. We've been talking about how the stage field is used to report how each deal is progressing toward a close decision and see how each stage in your sales process is displayed here. Completed stages are shown in green, and the current stage of this deal is shown in dark blue. To update the stage using path you click the new stage and then click mark as current stage. And this opportunity has now been updated to the new stage. This change is reflected in the stage field on the details tab and will show in all the opportunity forecasting reports. But there's more to path. In my sample org I've set up some additional options…
