- [Instructor] In this video, I'm going to focus on this flat roof that we have here on the east wing of the building. Now even when you have a flat roof, it's not really flat. It's going to have to have some slope for drainage purposes. And so what I want to look at in this video is a series of tools called the shape editing tools which is going to allow us to be able to sculpt the form of that roof to accurately represent something where we maybe have built up rigid insulation applied to a flat roof deck. Now there's a few little things that you need to know before getting into the shape editing tools. You can use them on footprint roofs, you can use them on floors, you can use them on top of solids even. So the tool set is actually a little broader than just roofs, but you must start with a flat slab. So let me illustrate that for you.
