- [Instructor] This video, I want to talk about a very important foundational skill and that is object selection. Now, to help us with this I'm in the architectural sample model that comes with the software, but you could really be in any project you like as long as it's got some geometry in it, it should work just fine. But if you want to open up the architectural sample model that I'm in as well you can get to it from the file menu, highlight open and then go to sample files and then open up the architectural sample model. What I'm going to do is work in a floor plan for this example. So here under floor plans on the project browser there's an L one floor plan. I'm going to double click to open that up and then I'm just going to put my mouse in the middle of the screen right here and roll a few clicks to zoom in a little bit more closely around the center of the screen.
