- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to look at another example of bringing in an AutoCAD file, but for a different purpose. So there's a number of reasons why you might bring in external files, and in this example, I want to bring in an AutoCAD file specifically for the purpose of using it to generate topography in my Revit project. So if you're working with a civil engineer in your projects, then there's a pretty good chance they're working with an AutoCAD based product like Civil 3D or just the main version of AutoCAD. In that case, they might be generating the site plan information, the civil information, as a DWG file. So we talked about bringing in DWG files in an earlier video. Well, I want to show you that workflow here, very specifically related to the idea of using it to create topography, because some of the settings we're going to choose are going to be a little bit different.
