- [Instructor] In this video, I want to discuss two very important topics: saving and backups. So when you save your file, two things actually take place: not only do you save and update the original file, but you're also creating backups. And I'd like to demonstrate how all of that works for you here. But the first thing, and the most important thing, is that you've got to be saving your file. So in order to take advantage of anything else that I'm going to discuss here in this video, saving is a must. And the most important thing that you need to know about Revit is it does not automatically save. So let me say that again. Revit does not automatically save.
