- [Instructor] If you need to create a color palette yourself, there are some great tools to help you with that task. But before we talk about those tools, let's cover a few basic don'ts when it comes to color combinations. There are a few basic color combinations that should be avoided due to accessibility and other medical reasons. First off, never mix bright red and bright blue. This combination can be nasty for photo sensitive individuals. Even for perfectly healthy individuals, this combination can cause eye strain very quickly. Likewise, you want to avoid red and green as a combination, which is the most common form of colorblindness. And by the way, I'd like to remind you that these colors appear in the standard colors area of PowerPoint. So once again, I strongly recommend you avoid pulling colors from that standard colors bar in PowerPoint. That bar, that area, that's bad. And speaking of red, using red text…
