Preset Browser
- In this video we're going to take a look at loading and saving material presets from the Preset browser in Modo. And so the first step is to hit the F6 key to open the Preset browser. And this comes with a lot of preloaded content. If you have the standard content installed, you'll see that there's already many materials that you can choose from, organized into various categories. All this is found in this Assets folder. There's also some cloud assets that you can access and this is all hosted on the Foundry servers. If you want to use any of these preset materials in your scene, simply locate the material that you'd like to use and then drag it into an existing group of Shader Tree. So for example, I've got my Sphere One material, I'm going to grab this Glass Clear and I'm just going to drag it at the top of the Material group. Let me just dismiss the Preset browser. And you can see the glass material has now been applied to that sphere. But what if you want to save your own preset…
