Use reports to check a plan’s status

A dashboard report eliminates the struggle when communicating with others by having popular plan status scenarios already designed for you. You access reports on the Report tab and you'll see these lists of items. One that I use a lot is Project Overview. When I'm managing other people, especially other project managers, I really don't care to see their entire plan. I ask for this instead, which is a great summary of what's going on. You'll find other reports on the Report tab in various lists, such as In Progress, Critical. A couple of tips when working with reports, you can zoom in and zoom out, hopefully to help you see more information on the screen. I should mention later on we'll be configuring these and customizing them to your personal preferences. Now, when you're in a report, you might be confused how to get out of these, especially if you tried the right click and nothing happens. A way to get out is on the Task tab.
