Switch task scheduling from manual to automatic
Feeling uncomfortable getting started with tasks in project? You choose when to control task calculations and re-calculations by selecting either automatic or manual scheduling. Automatic tasks are driven by the scheduling engine in project, while manual tasks wait for your input. Something to notice in this plan is the Task Mode. It's available and can be changed at a task level or at the plan or project level. Now, what is this doing for you? Well, when you're in manual mode, you can modify these three values to be any text you want. As an example, let's say to be determined and you'll see that it accepts that value. Manual tasks are a great way to put placeholder information in, or it's even a nice way for you to leave reminders for yourself, such as check with the subject matter experts.
