For all of us having a one day task duration for every task is not realistic. Use a variety of values in the duration field to ensure a task is planned for the appropriate length of time. Let me take this list of tasks and make them auto scheduled and you'll see that one day fill in. Well, of course, not every task is one day, you can override that. If you type in a value such as five and press "Enter," the default is days, but you can change it to something else. What if I put in like 2w? That would be weeks. You can do something else. You can do h for hours. You have a few other choices. I could do m. Now, you might be wondering what that is. If I do 2m, that's actually minutes, if you intended months, that's mo. Now, I should caution you, although there is a month abbreviation in here, something to consider is the way the program calculates it. Its average number of days in a month throughout the year.
