- [Phil] Whatever tool you're using to capture, work with, and share data, you're going to need to put some thought into how you can safely share it with the people who need to use it and view it. Are you going to allow others to enter data, change data, delete data? Of course, a large part of this will depend on which tool you're using, but the size of your audience is also a big factor. For instance, if you're using an Excel workbook and there's only a few people using it, putting it into a shared drive, or a shared online location, will probably be good enough. No need to make things more complicated than necessary. Although setting up SharePoint permissions can take some time, it's very powerful, and honestly, very logical.
