Managing the Microsoft Entra admin center in Microsoft 365
When we're in Microsoft 365, we have user accounts that are enabled for various Microsoft 365 workloads. All of those user accounts are actually user accounts that also reside in Microsoft Entra ID. Microsoft Entra ID is the new name for Azure Active Directory, one of the first workloads associated with Microsoft 365 that provides all of the authorization and authentication services for Microsoft 365. Microsoft Entra ID is Microsoft's identity and access management solution, and it has its own portal, its own admin center. So to access the Microsoft Entry ID admin center, I'm going to go down my list of admin centers and go into Identity. When I click on "Identity", I'm entering the Entra admin center and I'm entering the tenant that's associated with my Microsoft 365 subscription. When you first subscribe to Microsoft 365, you will have an Entra ID tenant that uses the Entra ID-free license. It is a free tenant.
