Security is a key aspect of managing your resources within Microsoft 365. In order to access the primary security functionalities of Microsoft 365, we're going to use Microsoft 365 Defender. I've launched a Microsoft 365 Defender by opening up the Security admin center from the Microsoft 365 admin center. As soon as I'm in the Microsoft 365 Defender, I see that I have some options here that I can configure related to securing devices, data, and infrastructure, as well as any custom applications or applications I've deployed in my Microsoft 365 subscription. So the applications that your users are using to access your data, the data that's being stored in SharePoint Online, the email messages that are being transferred by mailboxes and users in Exchange Online, the identities that are stored in Entra ID and that are used to authenticate, all of those various resources can be secured even more by using Microsoft 365 Defender.
