What you should know before starting

- [Instructor] In order to get the most out of this course you should have a little background knowledge. It would be beneficial, if you have an understanding of basic hardware, things like processor, memory, and disk drives. We're going to talk about some networking concepts in the course and how we can network virtual machines to physical machines so it will be good if you have a little basic networking knowledge. We're going to talk about software licensing. Therefore, it would be beneficial if you have a basic understanding of how software is licensed in your organization. If your goal for the course is to set up a virtual server, it would certainly be beneficial if you are familiar with the process of setting up a physical server. This course will help you understand the differences between that and a virtual server. And don't worry if you've never used a virtual machine, we're going to start off with the basics and get you where you need to be.
