- [Man] In this section I'd like to talk about utilizing a public cloud. One of the main advantages to the public cloud is it is typically inexpensive to start. So if you want to create just one or two virtual machines in a public cloud, it's fairly inexpensive to do that, and you only have to pay by the month. Contrast that to purchasing hardware. When we purchase hardware we have a large expense that's upfront. Whereas with the public cloud, our expense is spread over time. Now, that can also be a disadvantage, in that once we own hardware, we own it, and we don't have to pay for it again. Whereas with the public cloud we'll have to keep paying every month. And the bill tends to grow. Most people that utilize the public cloud tend to like it and utilize more and more every month. But that also means the bill grows every month. Another advantage to the public cloud, it has practically infinite scalability. So…
