Designing a private cloud

- [Instructor] In this section, I'd like to talk about designing a private cloud. Some of the characteristics of a private cloud; it will have a large number of hosts and guests. It will represent a large percentage of the infrastructure of an organization. So typically in a private cloud, 90 to 100% of the servers in an organization will be virtualized. And it means virtualizing the servers that run the main line of business applications. So whatever applications are most important to a particular organization, those will be virtualized into a private cloud. Some things to consider when designing and building a private cloud. We'll need to think about storage, bandwidth, how much uptime we are shooting for, monitoring and scalability. Let's take a look at each one of these one at a time. First of all, storage.
