- In this section, I'm going to demonstrate how to create a new virtual machine in VMware Workstation Pro. So off the start menu, I'll go to VMware Workstation Pro. And one of the options on the opening screen is create a new virtual machine. So I'll click on that. And in the Wizard, I'm given options for either typical or custom. I found that everything I want to configure is handled in the typical installation. So I'll go with that option, and click next. It's asking me where I would like to install from. Most commonly, you're going to use an ISO file. So I'll browse to where my ISO file is located, and hit next. At this point, I'm given the option to enter a product key. You can either enter the product key now, or enter it later. This is not really much of an advantage or disadvantage either way. I am, however, using an evaluation copy of an operating system, so I won't be using a product key. In the…
