Allocating processors and memory to a virtual machine using Hyper-V
- [Instructor] In this section, we're going to talk about allocating processor and memory to a virtual machine. So here in the Hyper-V manager, I'm going to right click on the name of my virtual machine, go to settings, and we see have options for memory and processor. But some of this is grayed out. And that is because my virtual machine is currently running. We will have to shut down the virtual machine in order to configure most of the settings about memory and processor. So I'll hit cancel to close this. I'll switch over to the virtual machine, and I will shut it down just like you would shut down a physical machine off the start menu. I'll go to power and I'll select to shut down. And then I'll close this connection window to it. In the Hyper-V manager, we should soon see a status of off. Okay. And here we go. Now it is in an off state. So if I right click again and go to settings, I should be able to change…
