- [Instructor] When something needs to get done, it helps to divide the work into a series of tasks. First you do this, then you do that, and finally you do the other thing. ServiceNow capitalizes on this in a straightforward way of accomplishing an objective through what are called tasks. Change tasks make up a change request. Problem tasks make up a problem. Here we're going to follow the creation to fulfillment of service catalog tasks that define your requested item. That is a user makes a request which generate tasks that you and other fulfillers complete to fulfill that request. It will give us the opportunity to see how several people collectively complete a user's request, each doing their part. Let's start with our user, Lisa Marley. She wants to order an iPad, so she selects the Apple iPad 3 from the top request panel of her home page. She places the order, and now the request has been submitted. As she…
