- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to talk about dimensions. Now, in the previous video when we laid out the walls, you may have been surprised by the fact that I simply placed the walls wherever I liked and I didn't really pay too much attention to precise locations. And the reason for that was quite deliberate. In Revit, what we do is we lay things out in a very rough form first, and then we come back and we refine the positions of those elements. It's a process that I like to refer to sometimes as progressive refinement or sketch, then modify. So if you imagine that you're first creating a sketch and then you come back and you manipulate that sketch into more precise configuration, then that's basically what we're doing. So the workflow allows us to lay out walls in this case very roughly and very quickly, and then we can come back and refine the positions of those walls.
