- Revit can be acquired in a few varieties, these include the full professional version, the LT version and the educational version. There's also the AEC collection, the full version of Revit is best for mid to large size firms. It comes as a single standalone application but it is also included as one of the applications within the AEC collection. The AEC collection includes several Autodesk tools used within the building industry, including the full version of Revit, but also AutoCAD and many others. However, each project within the collection remains a separate standalone application that is functionally identical to its standalone counterpart. The main benefit of the collection is the access it gives you to several important industry leading tools at a bundled price that is significantly less when compared to purchasing these tools separately.
