- [Narrator] If you've been following along, you know that some Microsoft 365 subscriptions give you access to the desktop version of the Microsoft apps. So you can download Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and more and use them on your computer, getting full functionality that you might not get in the online versions of those apps. But that doesn't mean you don't have access to all of the cloud-based functionality as well. So in this movie, we're going to explore launching the desktop apps and using some of the cloud functionality built in. You could be at your home screen here in Microsoft 365, and we want to launch one of the apps. One of the easiest ways to do it is to go down to some of the files we've been working on and simply click them. They'll launch automatically in the appropriate app. For example, this document I edited recently, clicking it launches a new tab in the browser, gives me the online version of Microsoft Word where I can start working with this document.
