- Once again, we're staying in our geometry.dwg file and we're going to take a look, this time, at zooming and panning in your AutoCAD drawings. Now, you'll notice the view of the drawing has changed. I've zoomed out to the visible extents of the objects in the drawing. Now that's very, very easy to do. You simply double click on the wheel of the mouse. But before we do that, I just want to take you through the basics of utilizing the mouse to zoom in and out in an AutoCAD drawing. So, we've got our crosshair. As I move the mouse, you can see it's moving around in the drawing area. I'm going to come down here to our little hexagon insert on our new table. If I position the crosshair over that hexagon and roll up on the wheel, I zoom in using where I am with the crosshair as the center of the zoom. I can then hold down the wheel of the mouse and you can see the pan symbol appears, the hand symbol and I can pan upwards a…
