From the course: Introduction to Graphic Design: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

Project overview

- [Instructor] In this chapter, we are going to be making a dust jacket for a hardback book similar to the one you are looking at right now on the screen. Now, the technically minded may well say, hey, that's a case wrap, it doesn't have a dust jacket. Well, I couldn't find a dust jacket 3D model, but that's what we are going to be making. To give you a clearer idea of the artwork, here it is, or a version of it, of course. You will be able to make choices and actually develop your own design. I'll be working through this one, but encouraging you at all times to try out your own thing in interpreting this particular task. So we're going to mess around with a lot of typography. We are going to consider shapes and space. We are going to do a few things with images, and we're even going to add a special print finish at the end, just like the real thing. So come on, what are we waiting for? Let's get in and start making this dust jacket project in InDesign.
