- [Instructor] Now what we need to do is to add a couple of ruler guides to help us out when we are putting the layout together. If you can see the rulers around your document already, then that's just great. If you can't, then Command-R or Control-R is the quick way to do it. Otherwise, you can go to the View menu, okay, and you can find Show Rulers there. If it already says Hide Rulers, that means they're already there. You're just not looking hard enough. Right, so let's go ahead then and we'll go to the guide on the left or the ruler on the left and click and drag to bring out a guide. And I want you to drop it straight over. It should snap to the edge of the first part of the spread. Now it's there. However, we need to move it. Now, if we look at the top of the control strip, there's very little in the control strip.
