- [Instructor] It's time to talk about threading text frames together. Now, I've opened up the brochure file from the exercise files folder, and I can see here that I have a couple of text frames, one that has text in it and one that's empty. If you look down here, in the lower right corner of the frame on the left, you'll see a little indicator, a little red plus sign. And that plus sign means that this text frame is overset. There's more text in the story than can fit into this frame. Now, we could make the text frame bigger, of course, but in this case, we want the text to flow from this frame to the frame on the right and that's called threading. You thread from one text frame to another. You think you'd use the type tool to accomplish this, after all, you're dealing with text, but in fact, it won't work with a type tool.
