What is generative AI (GenAI)?
- Let's start by talking about the things generative AI is not. It's not mindless copy and paste. It does not replace human creativity in the algorithms and not conscious. So what is generative AI? It is a subfield of artificial intelligence focused on creating new content from different data types, including text, images, video, and audio data. When thinking about generative AI, there are three key concepts at play. First, they are powered by machine learning algorithms. These algorithms are trained on massive data sets, and the ultimate goal is to generate or create new content based on knowledge acquired from the training data.
