Generate a seed map for research articles with Litmaps
- [Wuraola] In this video, we will create our first Litmaps seed map. Let's start by clicking on the create Litmaps button. The search window allows you to enter title, keyword, digital object identifier, DOI, or author's name. Since I work in research, use my name as a search term. Wuraola Oyewusi. It's interesting to see a list of research articles related to my name. Some are related to the work that I have done, but some are not related to me. Some of them we are just related by first name, but most of the initial articles are related to my work. Let's work with this article: "Afro Fashion 1600: A Contemporary African Fashion Dataset For Computer Vision" as a seed. So we have a seed. When we click on the seed, there is an option to select related references. These are the references that are related to that particular work. By clicking on individual references, you can also view the related references and citations. So for example, this is a relevant article about passing clothes…
