- [Host] We're all fairly familiar with the use of computers and the internet of the risks of viruses and other forms of malware and of the basics of avoiding such attacks. However, over the years, cybersecurity professionals have developed a number of standards and frameworks, which together provide a structured approach to managing the cyber risk. Understanding these frameworks provides a good foundation for anyone with an interest in or wishing to build a career in cybersecurity. This LinkedIn Learning Course is suitable for anyone who wishes to learn about cybersecurity. You don't need to be a security professional to take it. It would help to be familiar with the following two basic frameworks. ISACA's control objectives for IT, provide the best practice model of IT processes and help provide the context for the threats to and protection of IT systems. Nist cybersecurity framework provides the most recognized approach to cybersecurity an internet enabled world and some pre-reading would be helpful in taking this course.
