Security basics in Google Cloud VPC

- [Instructor] Let's look at Google Cloud. Google Cloud refers to its virtual network as virtual private cloud, or VPC. Google VPC is a logically-isolated network within the Google Cloud. Google Cloud VPC provides networking functionality for cloud-based resources and services such as Compute Engine Virtual Machine instances. Each VPC network in Google Cloud consists of one or more IP range partitions called subnets, and each subnet is associated with a region. To create a virtual network in Google Cloud, let us go to the Google Cloud console and let's search for VPC. You can see we already have two networks, a default network that we'll talk about that is insecure by default, and a linkedinlearningvpc that I created earlier. Let's go ahead and create another virtual private cloud network. We can click on CREATE VPC NETWORK. We can input a name for our VPC network. Let's call it linkedinlearningvpc9. For subnet…
