It creates a virtualized computing environment that can be used to run operating systems, and applications, store data, and connect to network amongst others. One main benefit of cloud virtual machine is on demand scalability, meaning the virtual machine components such as memory storage and processing power can be added or reduced according to needs. Cloud virtual machines may often be referred to as instances. Amazon's Cloud virtual machine service is referred to Elastic Compute Cloud or EC2. Microsoft Azure Cloud Virtual Machine Service is referred to as Virtual Machines, while Google Cloud's virtual machine service is referred to as Compute Engine. Let us get into AWS EC2.
