Overview of Windows Autopilot
- Autopilot is a way to deploy computers without having to pre-configure them at the office. You can grab the hardware ID using a script from Microsoft, get an Intune subscription for the user and device and then sign up using the endpoint manager admin center, now called Microsoft Intune admin center. And then you would run a few simple steps to complete the installation. The user then receives their computer from the company that you bought it from, log in and it will auto configure itself, including downloading and installing applications. It works using a physical computer, a virtual machine, on-premises active directory or Azure Active Directory. And here is the script where you can get that hardware ID information.
