In this course, instructor Kevin Wallace focuses on switching and routing. Kevin goes over ethernet switching, including topics like ethernet frame format, VLAN theory and configuration, trunking theory and configuration, and more. He explains the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) in depth, then goes over EtherChannel theory and configuration. Kevin covers IP routing with topics like packet flow, static and default routes, routing protocol selection and categories, and Routing Information Protocol (RIP) theory. Plus, he walks you through configuring RIPv2 and RIPng.
