- [Instructor] An effective sales dashboard can really come in handy when you're trying to make strategic decisions for your organization. In this video, I'll walk you through my approach to building an effective sales dashboard. First, you need to identify your key performance indicators. I put these indicators along the top of the dashboard because these are the most important data points and they will help you quickly understand your performance. KPIs can change from organization to organization, but the ones I typically include for my clients are total sales, average sale price, also known as deal size, and number of customers. Next, you need to identify the key trends that you want to understand. An effective sales dashboard will visualize these trends.
